About the design of the Sake Whisper Dress.
The base structure of the dress features an overlapping form inspired by traditional kimono.
By using this wrapped construction, we subtly incorporate a sense of Japanese identity
into the silhouette.
About the ribbon decoration.
One of the desires represented in this dress is the desire for alcohol.
We expressed this by adding ribbon details, designed to look as if sake is gently overflowing.
Because ninjas once used nine ritual disciplines to restrain desire, we designed nine ribbon elements into the piece.
Each ribbon is symbolic —not excessive.
About the material.
This dress is made with our originally developed fabric, a blend of rayon, cotton, and silk.
To highlight the three-dimensional depth of black, we added decorative elements using the same fabric.
This allows the shadows and layers of black to appear naturally through movement.

Our fabrics are designed from scratch using traditional Japanese washi yarn, then woven in Kiryu, Gunma—a city renowned for over a thousand years of textile craftsmanship.
Kiryu is unique in the world.
It is one of the few places where traditional materials, inherited weaving techniques, and the historical culture of the ninja coexist.
Here, skilled artisans transform each fabric into a finished piece with extraordinary precision—where every thread and stitch matters.
